Elections in Mali

The North-South Institute’s program of research on Fragile and Conflict-Affected States, which ran from 2011 to 2013, produced a number of participatory workshops, papers and briefs on important topics related to fragile states. The program brought together experts from Europe, Africa and Asia and produced international dialogue and policy recommendations on governance and state resilience theme. The program produced a provocative brief on how diasporas are being engaged to revitalize the health sector in South Sudan; recommendations on how to monitor governance and legislative effectiveness in Africa; and tracked civil society inputs into the New Deal for Engagement in Fragile States.
