Investing in the Business of Development
This research project examines how different development cooperation actors are engaging the private sector in development. As part of this project, NSI has conducted a number of studies, on its own and working with others, such as the International Development Research Centre and the Canadian Council for International Co-operation, to provide clarity on key concepts relating to the role of the private sector in development, identify and classify monetary and non-monetary forms of engagement, and examine the conditions under which engagement occurs.
