“Environmental and Social Impact Assessments: A practical guide for Indigenous Peoples in Guyana” was produced as part of a joint project between the Amerindian Peoples Association (Guyana), The North-South Institute (Canada) and the Forest Peoples Programme (UK). It is one of three community guides created under the “Indigenous Perspectives on Consultation and Decision-making about Mining and other Natural Resources” project.
The guides are meant to be read in the following order:
