Aid and the Private Sector: A Comparison of Traditional and Latin American Donor Approaches

This policy brief examines the role of the private sector in grant-based elements of South-South Development Cooperation (SSDC) in Latin America. It compares SSDC providers with traditional providers of official development assistance. It finds that providers of SSDC in Latin America have yet to embrace the private sector as a key partner in development.
