How Vulnerable and Marginalized People Define Safety and How Donors Can Help: The case of Burundi

This report documents how certain representatives of vulnerable groups in Burundi define their personal security and how that relates to the definitions employed by Burundi’s key development partners. It suggests that their definitions are shared for the most part but that further effort is needed to create greater livelihood security and include civil society representatives in security-related decision-making.
